Dictionary - In a restaurant´s kitchen (ENGLISH VOCABULARY)



IN A RESTAURANT´S KITCHEN

BAKEverb baked, baking, bakes

to cook in a oven. Ex: She bakes fresh bread every morning.

-noun (person) baker, (business) bakery

 POURverb 1. to left flow in a steady stream. Ex: She poured milk into her coffee. 2. to move in large numbers. Ex: A crowd of people poured out of the movie theater. 3. to rain hard. Ex: Wear your boots and take an umbrella, it´s pouring out!

FRYverb fried, frying, fries

to cook in a fatty substance, such as butter or vegetable oil. Ex: he fried eggs in a frying pan

BOILverb 1. to heat a liquid until it reaches the temperature of 212ºF or 100ºC. Ex: I boiled the water to cook the eggs.

PEELverb. to take the skin off a piece of fruit or vegetable. Ex: She peeled the apples before cooking them. – noun. the skin of fruit or vegetable. Ex: She threw the orange peel in the trash.

ROASTverb. to cook at a high temperature, as in an oven. Ex: We roasted a turkey for four hours in a 325-degree oven. – noun.  a piece of meat that is roasted. Ex: I have a pork roasted in the oven.
